Become a local leader for the Umeshkanam walk
Do you want to get involved in organizing Dr. Vollant’s Umeshkanam walk in your community, with help from Puamun Meshkenu? Joining Dr Vollant’s team is a great opportunity to develop professional event management skills. Local organizers take on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including: creating local partnerships, developing a cultural component adapted to your community, joining a network of organizers across Quebec who work together to simultaneously promote the walk in several communities. Make your community’s voice heard!!
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to inspire and support the members of Indigenous communities to follow their own path of a thousand dreams (or “Puamun Meshkenu” in Innu) in a way that is mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally holistic.
We accompany Indigenous people so that each individual may develop to their full potential and contribute to increase collective wellness with the support of his community. Our actions promote healthy lifestyles, encourage school perseverance and foster reconciliation.
